Entertainment is one of the fastest growing economic sectors in the world. Events of various kinds – music, culture, sport – bring development to the locations where they are held, by generating employment, turning round the economy, stimulating tourism and promoting local culture. On the other hand, they also cause negative impact on the environment, mainly due to carbon emissions.

Aiming to contribute towards awakening awareness for the need to preserve our natural resources, and towards creating a new culture in the Brazilian entertainment sector, Caco de Telha is developing a sustainability plan, via which it intends to contaminate its partners all over Brazil. Responsible for major event production in several Brazilian states, the company believes that entertainment is part of a people’s culture but that it must have a responsible, mindful practice. Amongst the plan’s main aims will be the reduction of carbon emissions at events carried out and the stimulation of responsible drinking.
