One of the biggest stars in today’s pop, North American singer Beyoncé performed in Brazil for the first time. Her international tour “I Am…Tour”, a mega-spectacle acclaimed by international critics, arrived in Brazil in February 2010. Via a collective effort, which united three of Brazil’s main entertainment companies in one production, Mondo Entretenimento, Planmusic and Caco de Telha Entretenimento joined forces to make viable the artist’s performances in four capital cities.

Beyoncé performed in Florianópolis (4th, at Parque Planeta), São Paulo (6th, at Morumbi Stadium), Rio de Janeiro (7th, at HSBC ARENA) and Salvador (10th, at Parque de Exposições).

In Salvador and São Paulo, the audience received a very special present, being able to see two great artists together on the same night. Our Brazilian diva, Ivete Sangalo, shared the night with the North American singer, also performing her concert to the audience present. In Salvador, with an estimated audience of 45,000 people, this encounter was the peak of Bahia’s competitive summer as it marked the opening of Salvador’s carnival, which began officially on Thursday 11th February, the day after the concert.
